Choose You Before You Have No Choice
Busy, busy, busy.
Never enough time.
Rush, rush, rush.
Sound familiar?
If so, you’re not alone. You’re in good company with other kickass women who lead exciting lives but… ignore their own needs for good mental, physical and emotional health.
I’m not talking about the biggies: annual check-up, mammogram and others. Yes, do these.
I’m talking about daily care, those small actions that help keep you well and functioning at your best.
You can only be as successful as your body allows. Ignore daily care, and your “battery” starts wearing out. Fatigue, anxiety and stress are battery drains.
However, unlike mechanical objects, we can’t just replace or recharge our battery and be back to high functioning within a few hours. Once our battery is drained, we are forced to pay attention to it.
We get sick. Our bodies breakdown. We have no choice but to focus on our health.
That work we thought was urgent is now on hold or delegated to someone else.
That event we thought we had to attend is occurring just fine without us.
That committee we thought we needed to join is moving ahead on schedule.
Bottom line: take care of yourself daily because no one else will.
If not you, then who?
